What is a Wind Rider seat cover?
Wind Rider is a 3D mesh seat cover that installs over your existing motorcycle seat. You keep your stock or aftermarket seat. The cover sits on top and adds a structural mesh layer between you and the vinyl. Every cover is cut for one specific year, make, and model so it locks to the seat shape instead of stretching over a generic pattern.
How is this different from buying a new aftermarket seat?
A custom reseat from a shop runs about $300 to $600 and the wait is usually two to four weeks. A Wind Rider cover runs in the $69 to $119 range, ships in days, and installs over the seat you already own in about 5 minutes with velcro straps. You keep your OEM seat intact and add the airflow and rain drainage on top of it.
Does Wind Rider fit my bike?
Probably yes. We cut covers for Harley, BMW, Honda, Indian, and most other major motorcycle brands across touring, cruiser, and adventure models. How does the 3D mesh keep my seat cool?
The mesh is a raised polyester structure about 6 millimeters thick with most of its volume open to air. That gap sits between you and the vinyl. Before you even start riding, the open structure drops the seat surface temperature 25 to 35 degrees compared to bare vinyl in direct sun. Once you ride, airflow under your body carries heat away as fast as your body makes it.
Won't a mesh cover slide at highway speed?
Not when it is cut for your bike. Universal one size fits all covers slide because they stretch over a shape they were not made for. Wind Rider cuts a pattern for your specific year and model and locks under the seat with velcro straps. The result stays put at highway speed and in fast corners.
